Flight has changed the way that we think about the world in dramatic ways. Today, it is possible to travel anywhere in the world in less than a day. But that convenience masks hidden complexity, both in the sense of human communications and logistics, but also our lack of awareness of birds and their own movements through the air. The return of geese every year feels like a miracle, but migratory animals everywhere depend upon spatial and temporal stability across their entire range.  What if we were in charge of coordinating those too?
